We're a small team that builds free cost calculators and price guides for everyday expenses Filipinos budget for — renovation, utilities, and similar categories. RenovationCalcPH started after one too many renovation quotes came back wildly different for the same job, with no easy way to tell which number was reasonable.

How We Source and Update Our Numbers

Every price range on this site is built from a mix of public data and market checks, not a single source pretending to be authoritative. Here's what goes into it:

Materials pricing is cross-checked against the PSA Construction Materials Wholesale Price Index, which tracks month-over-month movement in cement, steel, tile, and other core construction inputs.
Labor rate ranges are benchmarked against DOLE Regional Wage Orders, adjusted for the fact that skilled construction trades typically earn above the regional minimum.
City-by-city variation is informed by conversations with contractors and homeowners in each area, since published indices don't break down to the barangay or subdivision level.
Every guide is reviewed and refreshed at least once per year, or sooner if material or labor costs move sharply — 2026 figures reflect pricing as of Q2 2026.

We don't sell renovation services, and we're not paid by any contractor, supplier, or material brand to feature them. This site earns revenue solely through advertising, which keeps the calculators and guides free to use.

Where Our Numbers Have Limits

Construction costs vary by contractor, site condition, and material availability in ways no calculator can fully capture. Treat every estimate on this site as a planning range to sanity-check quotes against — not a substitute for getting itemized, written quotes from licensed contractors before committing to a project. Always verify a contractor's PCAB license before signing any agreement.
